Matthew 6:34

I have a confession to make. I worry. A lot. Yes, I know Jesus tells us not to worry, but reality is that worry is one of the many unfortunate side-effects of sin.

I know I’m not the only Christian who worries. So, why do we worry? We worry because we know we’re not in control, and we don’t trust the One who is! We worry because there are too many unknowns in life. We worry because we don’t know what tomorrow has in store.

Jesus teaches us to not focus on tomorrow, but today. Jesus wants us to focus on Him instead, to surrender to His Spirit now, in the moment, so that the Spirit can help us take the next step, and the next, and so on. We can trust the LORD to look after us today, and we can be certain that He’s got tomorrow sorted as well.

Dear Christian, are you trusting the LORD with your todays and tomorrows?
