What we love motivates our actions and attitude. We can either love God or love money.
Those who are driven by love for money, will do whatever they can to hold on to money they have while doing their best to earn more money and gain more wealth. They believe money can bring/buy them happiness, that as long as they have money, everything will be ok. They are generally nice towards other people but relationships become complicated when money is involved.
Jesus summarised the greatest commandments as loving the LORD God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and loving our neighbours as ourselves. Loving Jesus helps us to love others the way He does, as His Spirit works in us. Because Jesus is forgiving of us, we Christians are able to forgive others.
