Isaiah 40:3

When we want to develop a piece of land, we need to make sure there’s a way to get to it so that the necessary work can be done on it before any development can happen. It’s useless to have acres of land if it cannot be developed. The land is worthless if it cannot be rightly prepared for a worthwhile purpose, like building a home or a commercial property.

In the Bible, before Jesus started His ministry, it was John the Baptist who informed people that the Messiah was coming, and that when He came, He would change people and do a transformative work in them. People’s hearts are the undeveloped land, and Jesus is the developer who can do something incredible with it. Jesus, through His Spirit, transforms each of us and builds us up to fulfil the purpose God has for us.

Dear Christian, are you allowing the Holy Spirit to work in you so that you become the person God has called you to be?
