When someone wants to assure another person about something, they’ll make the other person a promise. Reality is that many people make promises they can’t keep or don’t intend to keep. They go through the motion of making the promise to move on from the present. To put it bluntly, human promises don’t mean much.
In the Bible, we learn about the Messiah God had promised His people Israel, a promise that would come true with the coming of Jesus the Christ. Unlike people, God not only makes promises, but He keeps them as well. Jesus is the promised One who will forgive sinners who turn to Him, judging and condemning those who don’t.
Dear Christian, are you grateful to God the Father for fulfilling His promise by sending Jesus His Son to die for your sins?
