Colossians 3:1

Ask anyone on the street what he or she is seeking, and they will likely tell you they’d like a better job, more money, be successful and so on. The vast majority of responses would be something that will help them live a better life here on earth. For many, their god is comfort and if something can appease that god, they will seek it out.

In the Bible, God says that those who have placed their trust and faith in Jesus will seek that which pleases Jesus. As Christians, we seek to please Jesus, our God. True disciples of Christ are not interested in earthly comfort; rather, our desire is to live a life reliant on the Spirit of Christ to do good works Christ wants us to do so that others will be drawn to Him through us. Ultimately, true Christians are looking forward to spending eternity in heaven with Jesus.

Dear Christian, are you relying on the Holy Spirit to live for Christ and the building of His Kingdom?
