Isaiah 43:18-19

It’s not uncommon for many to be stuck in the past. They are unable to let go of past events or mistakes that shackle them. The emotional baggage of the past continually extracts a toll, preventing many from enjoying the present and looking forward to the future. It’s good to reflect and learn from the past but don’t live in the past.

Those who have placed their trust and faith in Jesus can take God’s Word to heart and trust Him to do a new thing in their lives. When we turn to Christ, His Spirit begins a process of renewal that lasts a lifetime. Christians no longer have to be shackled to the past because God fulfils His promise to make us new, to transform us in a way we once thought was impossible.

Dear Christian, are you relying on the Holy Spirit to learn from the past and trust Jesus with your future?
