The world teaches us that we’ve got to “look out for number one”, that is, do what is best for us without caring about others. This is the case because our selfish nature tells us that no one else is going to look out for us or care about our overall well-being.
God’s Word teaches us that we’re not on our own, that not only is there a God who created us, this God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us so we will no longer be estranged from God because of our sin. God doesn’t stop there. To all who believe in Jesus, God has blessed us with His Spirit. Unlike the world, our Father tells us we don’t need to be afraid or discouraged because He goes ahead of us, is with us always, and promises to never leave or forsake us.
Dear Christian, do you know that God your Father loves you because of God the Son Jesus and is always with you through God the Spirit?
