Philippians 2:7-8

Humility isn’t a sought after character trait in the world. To be humble is seen as a sign of weakness. On the contrary, is not unusual for people to have a lot of pride, too much pride, not only in what they do but who they are. This unhealthy pride causes more issues than people care to admit.

Jesus, who is God, the Master, left heaven to come to earth as a man, a servant, and though He never did anything wrong, He chose to die on the cross for sinners like us so we can be forgiven and get right with God. This is the simultaneously both the greatest act of humility and love. Thanks to His Spirit in us, we too can have the mind as Jesus, and live a life of humility, a humility that is sorely lacking in the world. This means that whether we’re running a business, or at the work place, or in close relationships, we love others the way Christ loves us.

Dear Christian, are you relying on the Holy Spirit to help you be humble like Jesus and love others like He loves you?
