The Bible isn’t just a rule book of do’s and dont’s, it’s God’s living Word, given to us so we can learn about Him, come to faith in Jesus and be the people God created us to be, through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Whether it is the Old Testament or the New Testament, we’re not reading reflections penned by human authors but words inspired by the Holy Spirit.
We are to rely on the Holy Spirit to not only learn God’s Word, but put it to practice in our lives. When the Word of God comes alive in us through the Spirit of God at work within us, we will bear the fruit of the Spirit, reflecting Jesus to those around us. The Holy Spirit will use us to draw others to Jesus, so He can work in them the same way He worked in us. God doesn’t need us but He wants us to partner with Him so that through His Spirit, He can use us, the same way He used others in our salvation journey.
