Dear Christian, which of the following best describes you? When you need to get something done (the assumption is that this isn’t anything ungodly), do you a) dive right into it and get started OR b) pray for wisdom and God’s favour, make plans and preparations, and then begin?
If we do things without getting God involved, we might as well say that we don’t need Him and stop following Jesus. We’re neither humble nor dependent.
On the other hand, when we humbly seek the LORD first, we’re confessing that we can do nothing apart from Him and that we desperately need His help. God being our good Father, who sees our heart, will help us form the right plans and make the right decisions, through His Spirit at work in us!
