Education is valued worldwide because it opens doors to opportunities that may not be available without it. Good education provides valuable knowledge and skills that help individuals benefit their employers or run businesses. Many people complete school, earn a university degree, and seek jobs, while some pursue PhDs. Education is supposed to lead to freedom and success, but that’s not always the case. Education alone cannot protect people from life’s hardships, and knowledge offers little comfort in tough times.
The Bible tells us that fearing God is the first step to gaining knowledge. Fearing God means being in awe of Him, respecting and obeying Him, worshipping Him, and believing in His Son, Jesus. Only those in whom the Spirit of God is at work, can truly be humble, fear God, obey Christ and His commands in the Bible. With Jesus, we can accomplish anything through His strength, rejoice always, pray, and be thankful at all times—something that education alone cannot provide.
