Occasionally, I wonder what people who don’t believe in God, and specifically don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, do when they are in trouble? How do they deal with all the emotions and thoughts? Such people can mock us for our faith, but I am afraid they are confronted by their emptiness when things aren’t going well.
Those who believe in Jesus have Him to run to when the unexpected happens. For Christians, the LORD is our refuge when we are in trouble, and He graciously grants us strength when we are emotionally and spiritually spent, because He loves us. How blessed are we that God who created us, would care for us so much that He would not only die for our sins, but bless us with His Spirit to live life abundantly!
